About The Brand

The Project “Pixel Photo Magazine

The Pixel Photo Magazine project was born in a singular context, where the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, despite their harshness, become fertile ground for an idea of union and connection. In 2019, during a period of forced isolation, while the world seemed to slow down, paradoxically, it is precisely in that silence that the deepest reflections emerge. The frenzy of everyday life, the aimless races, the uncertainties of the future: everything stops, yet this void invites deep introspection. Many of us begin to look inside ourselves, to rediscover dormant passions and desires, seeking new ways to connect, to explore our inner selves and to feel part of something bigger.

In this moment of collective introspection, technology, which had previously accentuated physical distance, becomes the tool to overcome emotional and social barriers. It is in this new virtual dimension that the Pixel Photo Magazine Facebook group takes shape. The call of photography, an art that has always united people through images and narratives, makes its way through the pages of a social network, becoming the starting point for the creation of a sharing space. The idea is simple, but ambitious: to create a community in which every individual, regardless of origin or culture, can express themselves through the art of photography.

The first members are not long in coming. The group’s members grow rapidly, attracted by the desire to share and explore creativity. But, as often happens when a project is destined to expand, the group feels the need for a further step, a more solid structure that can enhance individual talents and offer them a visible space in the world. Thus was born the idea of transforming the group into an online magazine, a virtual place that not only collects photographs, but elevates them, offering each artist the opportunity to emerge and reach a wider audience. The creation of a website becomes the engine that supports and spreads the project’s message, giving life to an interactive and dynamic platform.

Today, Pixel Photo Magazine is a constantly evolving reality. Every day, new talents emerge and the network expands. What began as a small virtual group has transformed into a growing global community, with the hope of continuing to make photography not only an art, but a means to unite people, stimulate reflection and create a sense of belonging that transcends individuality. And while the network develops and enriches itself, everything else is “In Progress”: the beauty of a project in constant evolution, where each step is an opportunity to discover new horizons and new possibilities.

The Project “Visio Mentis

The next step after the magazine experience is the creation of an event that realizes the visionary idea of multi-ethnic aggregation: the International Photography Exhibition “Visio Mentis“.

A natural extension of the online magazine Pixel Photo Magazine, the exhibition promotes a universal language contained in a simple word: “Inclusiveness“. In a socio-cultural context in which divisions between peoples seem to be accentuated, “Visio Mentis” brings together and unites traditions, customs and thoughts, using the powerful communication of images.

Visio Mentis” is not a simple collection of photographs, but an open window on different realities, on human experiences that narrate moments of pure beauty and deep reflection. Each image is a unique narrative, a work that brings with it a perspective, an emotion, a vision of the world that intertwines with the traditions and personal styles of the photographers. The photographs tell stories that go beyond geographical and cultural boundaries, highlighting the beauty that surrounds us and that often escapes distracted glances. The technical skill of photographers merges with their ability to capture the infinite nuances of life.

The exhibition is an invitation to celebrate the diversity and creativity of our planet. In an increasingly interconnected world, photography has the power to break down barriers, uniting people and allowing them to see the world through different eyes. A universal art that invites us to discover new points of view and pay homage to beauty in all its forms. “Visio Mentis” offers the opportunity to explore and immerse yourself in the universal language of photography, a language that speaks to everyone, without words, but with an intensity capable of touching the heart and soul.

Visio Mentis” welcomes stories and emotions through the images of photographers, with a particular focus on the power of the image as a tool for reflection and change. The exhibition is not just an artistic showcase, but a meeting point, a way to celebrate the beauty of diversity, the power of sharing and the universality of the language of the heart.

Marcello Pitardi

In 1984, during a transition period in his career, Marcello Pitardi discovered photography: an unexpected encounter that immediately became a turning point.
His passion was born within the walls of a photography studio, where the magic of analog photography and the silent ritual of developing in the darkroom fascinated him deeply.
It wasn’t just a fascination with the technique, but with the mystery that accompanies the birth of an image.
From that moment, photography became for him a language of the soul, a way of remaining in tune with reality and with himself.

His artistic journey is rooted in reportage photography, dedicated to the traditions, faces, and landscapes of Calabria.
The Aspromonte, the lower Ionian Sea, the Presila, and the Tyrrhenian Sea become places of visual memory where the sacred and the everyday meet.
Marcello observes, waits, listens: each shot is a fragment of life restored to its most authentic essence.
In his images, ritual becomes a human gesture, faith becomes a story, and photography becomes a silent testimony of a world that resists time.

Over the years, his gaze has evolved towards a more intimate and reflective photography, in which landscape and portraiture become tools of introspection.
For Marcello, photographing means crossing: a space, an emotion, a memory.
In his works, the boundary between document and poetry dissolves, allowing a visual thought to emerge that questions presence, time, and change.

In 2025, he published his book Sulle mie Tracce, a literary and poetic work that intertwines words and memory.
It is not a photography book, but an inner journey in which the text guides and the image accompanies, like a final reflection, a visual whisper placed at the end of a journey.
The book, divided into three parts—Who I Have Been, Who I Am, Who I Will Be—is a journey of awareness and rebirth, a dialogue with time and with the presences that inhabit memory.
Through writing, Marcello transforms personal experience into universal reflection, restoring meaning to life, made of absences that become presences, and fragilities that become strengths.

In 2026, he presented the monograph “Between the Sacred and the Profane,” dedicated to Calabrian folklore and the popular festivals of San Rocco in Gioiosa Ionica and Saints Cosma and Damiano in Riace.
A project that combines anthropology and visual poetry, where the sacred coexists with matter, and devotion becomes collective narration.
His black-and-white images reveal the most authentic face of the South: the toil, faith, dignity, and beauty of a people who resist through ritual.

In parallel with his personal research, Marcello founded and directs Pixel Photo Magazine, an independent photography magazine with international distribution, launched in 2021 as a space for exchange between authors, cultures, and visual languages.
In 2023, he launched Visio Mentis – International Photographic Exhibition, a group show that promotes intercultural dialogue through contemporary photography.
Both projects represent his commitment to bringing images of the world into dialogue with humankind’s inner visions, uniting tradition and experimentation, gaze and thought.

Today, Marcello Pitardi lives and works in Calabria.
His photography, like his writing, stems from the desire to capture what changes, to restore a sense of permanence and poetry to reality.
Each of his projects is an act of listening and presence, a reflection on the fragility of time and the power of memory.
In his photographs and writing, a simple and luminous truth can be found:
that life, even when it hurts, continues to generate beauty.

Nancy Casamento

Nancy Casamento was born in Cairo, Egypt, a land surrounded by the age-old charm of its pyramids, temples and timeless legends. Between the warm colors of the sunset on the Nile and the distant sounds of market voices, she grew up immersed in a world that mixes tradition and modernity, where every corner tells stories that range from the ancient to the mysterious. In this magical land, where the boundary between myth and reality seems to dissolve into the air, Nancy found the first artistic inspirations that would mark her path.

Since she was a child, her life has been marked by the sound of scissors cutting fabric and the rustle of needles that masterfully sewed fine fabrics. She grew up in a family of tailors, where the art of fashion is not just a profession, but a legacy that is passed down from generation to generation. Nancy watches with admiration her grandmother, uncles and mother who, with dedication and passion, shape fabrics into creations that tell stories.

Her curiosity and creative spirit soon emerge, fueling the desire to transform her love for fashion into a true vocation. Over the years, Nancy hones her skills, perfecting her knowledge, but always maintaining a deep connection with the roots of sartorial tradition. Her innovative spirit and her eye for detail lead her to develop an idea of fashion that is at once modern and elegant, sensual and sophisticated.

After gaining experience and developing an ever-growing love for design, she moves to Lamezia Terme, where her art meets a new dimension. In this small town in southern Italy, her vision takes shape: timeless elegance, clean lines, precious fabrics that gracefully envelop the body, creating clothes that celebrate femininity in all its power and sophistication.

Nancy is not just a designer, she is a true innovator who constantly challenges the boundaries of fashion. Each of her creations is a work of art that comes from an inner need to express beauty and personality through fabric. Her creativity knows no bounds: each dress that leaves her laboratory is the result of continuous research and a drive to surpass herself, always finding new inspirations in the places she visits, in the people she meets, in the emotions that life gives her.

Today, Nancy is a woman, a mother, a fashion artist who has won the hearts of many women, who find in her clothes a way to feel unique, elegant and self-confident. Each of her creations is a tribute to the beauty of femininity, a meeting between ancient sartorial wisdom and the vision of a future that never ceases to surprise. Her ability to always remain faithful to her passion and to continually project herself towards new challenges makes her an inspiration for anyone who believes that fashion can be a language to tell their own story.
