Visio Mentis 2025 – When Photography Becomes Living Culture.
There’s a moment in the life of a project when everything aligns: the vision, the commitment, the public response. Visio Mentis, the international photography exhibition, has just concluded its 2025 edition in Tropea, and we can say without hesitation: it was a truly triumphant confirmation. Last year we already recorded significant numbers, with an average of 200 visitors per day in the afternoon alone, but this year we exceeded all expectations. A constant, passionate, and engaged flow. Not just numbers: real presences, curious glances, voices that paused before an image and said, “Finally, something of substance here too.” Because yes, this is what we felt within the vaults of the Diocesan Museum: a thirst for true culture, the kind that comes from the bottom, that speaks with intense, sincere, and profound images. The photographs on display struck a chord with different audiences, but with equal intensity: there was no favorite, and this is perhaps the most beautiful sign. Each artist found a place in the hearts of visitors. Each vision left an echo.
And then the comments, so many. Written, spoken, whispered between photos: “It’s about time Tropea had an event like this…” “I didn’t think I’d be so moved by photographs…” “It feels like being in the prestigious halls of Berlin or Paris…”
And yet, yes, we were in Tropea. And right there, photography found a home.
The credit? To those who participated, to those who believed in the project, to those who decided to pause for a moment to listen to the powerful silence of a shot. Visio Mentis is more than just an exhibition. It is an act of faith in photography as a language, as a thought, as a presence.
These are the satisfactions that drive us to always do better. That remind us why we started. That compel us, with joy, to never stop.

Jestem zaszczycona i szczęśliwa,że moje fotografie pojawiły się w gronie tak wielu wybitnych artystów w pięknym i historycznym miejscu jakim jest Tropea. Bardzo dziękuję i to ogromne wyróżnienie !
Quando vedi le tue foto stampate, grandi, luminose, esposte in una mostra internazionale, le senti come se vivessero indipendentemente da te. Non ho parole per descrivere l’emozione di vedere la reazione dei visitatori, il loro apprezzamento. E non posso che ringraziare Marcello Pitardi per aver ritenuto la mia storia degna di essere presente qui. Io spero solo di suscitare un po’ delle emozioni vissute. Il libro della mostra è un valore aggiunto che rende permanente la bellissima sensazione vissuta con l’esposizione! La presenza degli altri autori, la descrizione dei loro progetti, apre finestre di esperienze possibili e territori fotografici da esplorare. Un grande insegnamento collettivo!
La mostra Visio Mentis a Tropea è stata davvero splendida: allestimento curato nei dettagli, fotografie di grande impatto e un’organizzazione estremamente professionale. Complimenti a Marcello per l’ottimo lavoro svolto e per aver reso l’esperienza così coinvolgente e di alto livello.
In perfetto equilibrio tra cuore e mente, una volta di più la mostra di Tropea conferma il valore dei fotografi partecipanti, l’impegno degli splendidi organizzatori e la gioia di incontrarsi in un luogo fisico di grande bellezza. È il secondo anno che partecipo a Visio Mentis e posso confermare l’amore e il grande lavoro che Marcello mette per la fotografia. Tutto è stato organizzato in maniera impeccabile con grande passione. È davvero gratificante far parte di un gruppo come Visio Mentis. Un grazie di cuore per tutto.
Dopo molti anni, ho avuto il privilegio di partecipare nuovamente ad una mostra fotografica. Visio Mentis è stata più di una mera esposizione. Per me ha rappresentato la possibilità di condividere una nuova gratificante esperienza culturale in grado di rinnovare il desiderio di cercare nuovi scatti. Ringrazio Marcello Pitardi e tutti coloro che hanno dato vita a quest’evento e che, con la loro presenza, hanno onorato la fotografia nella sua essenza di forma d’arte moderna e antica al tempo stesso, la fotografia intesa come un linguaggio capace di scaturire emozioni sempre nuove. Je tiens à vous remercier Marcello pour avoir organiser cette magnifique exposition. Je n’ai malheureusement pas eu la possibilité de m’y rendre et je le regrette. J’ai visionné la totalité des photos exposées par mes collègues photographes en cliquant sur leur profil et en feuilletant le livre.
