Livorno – Italien
Seine Arbeit ist sehr vielseitig und ermöglicht es ihm, in seiner Freizeit zu fotografieren, um die Schönheit und Einzigartigkeit der Orte, die er besucht, einzufangen. Nach einem kurzen Ausflug als Junge hat er erst vor Kurzem die Fotografie wieder aufgenommen. Sie bietet ihm die Möglichkeit, die Realität aufmerksam zu beobachten und ihre Details einzufangen, insbesondere jene, die die meisten Menschen übersehen oder unterschätzen. Fotografie ist für ihn ein kraftvolles Werkzeug zur Meditation und bevorzugt daher die manuelle Fotografie ohne Autofokus, die fast analog arbeitet. Er liebt alle Stile, insbesondere Straßenfotografie und Landschaften, insbesondere die der Parma-Tiefebene in der Emilia-Romagna, und liebt Symmetrie. Er hofft, dass seine Aufnahmen nicht nur ansprechend sind, sondern auch Emotionen vermitteln, die zum Nachdenken anregen.
Visio Mentis Projekt Tropea, 2.–9. August 2025
Das Projekt
“Zwischen Schleier und Offenbarung”
Das Hauptmerkmal dieser Bilder ist nicht so sehr das Motiv selbst, sondern die Art und Weise, wie es fotografiert wird. Den Aufnahmen liegen einige gemeinsame Grundelemente zugrunde: vor allem eine dünne Atmosphäre, oft mit schwach ausgeprägten Konturen. Darüber hinaus sind die Motive oft stilisiert und repetitiv, um dem Betrachter die Freiheit zu geben, im Bild das zu sehen, was seine eigene Sensibilität und Erfahrung nahelegt. Diese Landschaften wirken manchmal surreal und hypnotisch. Meine Landschaftsfotografie ist minimalistisch, ich entferne überflüssige Elemente und reduziere sie auf das Wesentliche. Dabei entstehen einfache geometrische Strukturen, Symmetrien, Spiegelungen und ein Wechselspiel aus Voll- und Hohlräumen. Ich neige dazu, die Hintergründe zu minimieren und zu verwischen, um Raum für die Fantasie zu lassen. Meine Landschaftsaufnahmen sind daher keine Beschreibung der Realität, sondern vielmehr deren Interpretation. Es ist keine Art der Fotografie, die dokumentiert. Ich ziehe es vor, anzudeuten, anstatt zu beschreiben, zu interpretieren, anstatt klar zu erzählen. Ein Beispiel ist die Aufnahme im Val d’Orcia, wo man diese sich kreuzenden Täler erahnen kann, wobei zwei Gebäude (zwei Festungen) kaum sichtbar sind. Es handelt sich vielmehr um eine Anspielung: Anspielung/Suggestion ist ein wiederkehrendes Thema in all meinen Aufnahmen.
Auch meteorologisch gibt es besondere Atmosphären: Überschwemmungen, Morgen-/Abenddämmerung, Nebel … alles Situationen, die es schwierig machen, die Szene zu interpretieren. Alles Elemente, die die Fantasie anregen.

The exhibition in March 2025 at Ex Stac in Catanzaro, which was the part of the Visio Mentis project, was an amazing event for me. The whole organizing team did a wonderful professional job in promoting photography as an art and photographers as the personalities. Seeing my own photos exhibited in the beautiful setting and having the opportunity to share my thoughts with other colleagues photographers and the audience was an unforgettable experience for me that I still enjoy for a long time after the exhibition is over. I am proud to have been a part of this project and at the same time it is an inspiration for me to continue searching for my own vizio mentis. Thank you very much for your support.

The exhibit at the Museo Diocesano in Tropea was a beautiful blend of history and contemporary vision. Each photographer brought their own style, ranging from street photography to nature and wildlife, creating a diverse yet harmonious collection.
The centuries-old setting added depth and reverence, making the images feel timeless and giving the exhibit a unique and lasting impact.

This exhibition at Ex-Stac in Catanzaro, Italy was a wonderful experience, and I was truly honored to be invited to take part and share my work alongside so many talented artists. The show brings together a diverse range of photographic styles, making it a rich and inspiring collection. Ho accettato con grande entusiasmo l’invito a partecipare alla mostra VISIO MENTIS a Catanzaro, che rappresenta la mia prima esperienza in una mostra collettiva. Ho avuto il piacere di conoscere il curatore, Marcello Pitardi, grazie alla pagina Pixel Photo Magazine, e abbiamo instaurato un ottimo rapporto. Marcello è una persona precisa e pragmatica, che lavora con efficacia e determinazione. Inizialmente, temevo che la distanza da Bruxelles e i miei impegni lavorativi avrebbero reso difficile la mia partecipazione, ma tutto si è svolto senza problemi. Purtroppo, non ho potuto essere presente all’evento a causa della distanza e degli impegni, ma sono felice di sapere che la mostra ha avuto un ottimo successo e che le mie foto hanno potuto essere viste da decine di persone, condividendo con loro la mia visione della fotografia.
Ho avuto l’opportunità di partecipare alla mostra Visio Mentis a Catanzaro, insieme ad altri fotografi provenienti da tutto il mondo. È stata una esperienza fantastica; in particolare esporre insieme ad artisti di così alto livello oltre ad essere una gratificazione ti spinge ad osservare i loro lavori, confrontarti con loro e migliorare la tecnica. Un grazie particolare a Marcello Pitardi per l’organizzazione perfetta e professionale, che si nota sin dai minimi dettagli. Parteciperò con grande entusiasmo alle prossime iniziative.
Enjoyed participating in the Visio Mentis photo exhibition. I was impressed by the professionalism of the organization. The location itself, but also the digital environment and the promotional material were of high quality and allure.
