Lance Chennault
Daaden – Deutschland
Lance Chennault, ein angesehener Veteran und ehemaliges Mitglied des US Navy Hospital Corps, diente mit Mut und Hingabe sowohl im Golfkrieg (Desert Storm) als auch im Freiheitskrieg im Irak. Sein Abenteuer in der Welt der Fotografie begann während seines Einsatzes im Irak im Jahr 2004, eine Zeit, die ihm eine neue Perspektive eröffnete. Doch erst 2022 entdeckte Lance seine wahre und tiefe künstlerische Berufung: die Vogel- und Tierfotografie. Von der Komplexität der Kriegsszenarien wandte sich sein Blick nun der erhabenen Schönheit und dem komplexen Leben der Tiere in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum zu – ein Wandel, der von seiner Suche nach Ruhe und Verbundenheit mit der unberührten Welt zeugt.

Das Projekt
“Die Schönheit eines Naturschutzgebietes”
Dieses Fotoprojekt von Lance Chennault bietet einen tiefen und faszinierenden Einblick in die außergewöhnliche Artenvielfalt des Naturschutzgebietes Bingenheimer Ried in unmittelbarer Nähe von Echzell. Die Bilder fangen nicht nur die Schönheit der Landschaft ein, sondern vor allem das lebendige und komplexe Leben der Vögel, die dort leben. Als Sumpf- und Feuchtgebiet von entscheidender Bedeutung ist das Bingenheimer Ried ein wahres Schutzgebiet, ein wichtiger Durchzugs- und Rastplatz für unzählige Zugvogelarten und Wintergäste. Das Reservat ist zudem ein wertvoller Rückzugsort für seltene Brutvögel wie Kiebitz, Bekassine und Spießente, die hier ideale Bedingungen zum Gedeihen finden. Das dichte Schilfnetz und der vielfältige Lebensraum bieten nicht nur Vögeln, sondern auch einer Vielzahl anderer Tiere wie Amphibien und Libellen Schutz und Nahrung und tragen so zu einem empfindlichen und vernetzten Ökosystem bei.

The exhibit at the Museo Diocesano in Tropea was a beautiful blend of history and contemporary vision. Each photographer brought their own style, ranging from street photography to nature and wildlife, creating a diverse yet harmonious collection.
The centuries-old setting added depth and reverence, making the images feel timeless and giving the exhibit a unique and lasting impact.
Sono rimasta entusiasta dell’esposizione presso l’Ex Stac di Catanzaro. Devo dire che la disposizione delle foto e la location sono veramente notevoli. E io ho scoperto molti fotografi che fanno cose molto interessanti. Mi dispiace per chi se la perde per ignoranza e senso di superiorità. Grazie a Marcello Pitardi e a tutto il team per l’impegno messo per la buona riuscita dell’evento.
Un événement qui a apporté du prestige aux émotions. Je crois que l’organisation de l’événement a été impeccable dans les moindres détails. Je serai également heureux d’être présent à vos événements à l’avenir.

The exhibition in March 2025 at Ex Stac in Catanzaro, which was the part of the Visio Mentis project, was an amazing event for me. The whole organizing team did a wonderful professional job in promoting photography as an art and photographers as the personalities. Seeing my own photos exhibited in the beautiful setting and having the opportunity to share my thoughts with other colleagues photographers and the audience was an unforgettable experience for me that I still enjoy for a long time after the exhibition is over. I am proud to have been a part of this project and at the same time it is an inspiration for me to continue searching for my own vizio mentis. Thank you very much for your support.
Quando vedi le tue foto stampate, grandi, luminose, esposte in una mostra internazionale, le senti come se vivessero indipendentemente da te. Non ho parole per descrivere l’emozione di vedere la reazione dei visitatori, il loro apprezzamento. E non posso che ringraziare Marcello Pitardi per aver ritenuto la mia storia degna di essere presente qui. Io spero solo di suscitare un po’ delle emozioni vissute. Il libro della mostra è un valore aggiunto che rende permanente la bellissima sensazione vissuta con l’esposizione! La presenza degli altri autori, la descrizione dei loro progetti, apre finestre di esperienze possibili e territori fotografici da esplorare. Un grande insegnamento collettivo!

Enjoyed participating in the Visio Mentis photo exhibition. I was impressed by the professionalism of the organization. The location itself, but also the digital environment and the promotional material were of high quality and allure.
